FYI - See below for idea that might be helpful in your inventing. Good
Luck!
How about a hunting gun that won't shoot at anything colored orange? - to
prevent hunting accidents
This could be part of the shooting scope or a separate add on piece or part
of the gun. If the gun were pointed at anything orange, the gun would be
disabled from firing. Think of this as a sightscope with color recognition.
This electronic device might be faster than a human's eye, particularly if
the hunter is sweeping the gun, following an animal, and then realizes that
another hunter is in the way. When the color orange is recognized, the gun
is disabled from shooting. When other colors are recognized, the gun is
fully functional. This electronic feature, of course, would be in addition
to the hunter's usual safety routine, providing an additional margin of
safety. This feature might be particularly helpful for excited, new, or
weary hunters.
Possible Start Building Blocks -
* Existing concepts for hunting scopes, machine vision systems, laser
pointers on guns, color matchers for paints, etc.
* USPTO Class/Subclasses for "How-To" ideas - 42/70; 356/243; 42/96
* Search string to copy/paste into your favorite search engine - (gun or
guns or firearm or firearms or shoot)+(orange or safety or prevent or stop)
