FYI - See below for idea that might be helpful in your inventing. Good
Luck!

How about a small snow blower for cars? This snow blower could run off car
engine or battery. This could be a robot-looking and be controlled by a
joystick control to clean the snow from underneath a stuck car. It could
crawl underneath and blow snow from under the car chassis.

Something similar to a modified ice fishing hole auger might work too. This
could supplement or replace a regular snow shovel and be particularly
helpful for older or handicapped drivers stuck in the snow.

Possible Start Building Blocks -
* Existing concepts for grain augers, tunnel borers, equipment for
tunneling under roads, ice fishing hole drill, robot lawnmowers, etc.
* USPTO Class/Subclasses for "How-To" ideas - 37/227, 37/251, 37/248,
37/250

This reminds me of the "issued" US Patent for a "heated" car tire, to
melt the ice under the tire as you drive along. Talk about something
that would never work, and if it by some chance it could (You hooked it
up to a atomic reactor for the power that would be needed) you have have
a car that would be extreamly dangerous to drive, as water on top of ice
is as slick as you can get)

I think a better solution, is flame throwers under the car, this idea
might be helpful in your inventing, Good Luck (your going to need it :-)

Wait a min. Flame throwers under the car is already patented, for an
anti car jacking device, but they blow out the sides,, so maybe you can
patent it blowing around the tires

But flame throwers to melt snow on driving surfaces was long known - I
don't know if they do it any more, but at one point the technique
(well, the hot exhaust of jet engines) was used to melt ice on airport
runways.

But not patented, or been done, blowing around the tires of a stuck car :-)

I figure you can use it to set the tires on fire, and the burning tires
will melt the snow and ice.

Use this in your inventing,, good luck

Along these same lines, how about using high level nuclear waste
to melt the ice?

I like this,, spray "all" the roads north of the Masion Dixon Line, it
will get rid of the snow, and also most of the South's problems

And the green-glowing roads will reduce the need for road lighting, too!
